Unfolding the creative canvas

Meet the artist

Hi, I am Sarva from India . I am a 10 year old boy and my  hobby is passing time with colours. I learnt my skills from YouTube videos and specially want to thank Deepak Art and Craft for creating such useful videos for kids. If I can create colourful artwork then you can also channelize your spare time into a creative canvas.

If you also want to be the part of unfolding the creative canvas ,send me an email with your artwork along with the permission of your parents.

Vibrant feathers in a gold crown

Once upon a time, in a spectacular paradise land, there was a stunning gold crown, who was proud of his shine and texture. He never wanted anything else to touch him,  so he preferred to stay in a gold box. Every morning the crown looks up in the mirror and proudly appreciate his radiant glow and chanted -“I am glad that I am pure gold and I can never get old.”
One day few soft and colourful feathers blew in the room and floating across one corner to the other. The dancing pattern of quills was so elegant that the crown itself was mesmerised for hours. Crown had never felt so relaxed before and suddenly he doesn’t want to go back in the box too. Rather, he wanted to do groovy movements with the vibrant feathers. In his joyful voice, the crown announced-“I am glad that I am pure gold but without singing-dancing, I feel really bored. Hence, requesting talented feathers to be with me to uphold: the charm of blending colourful feathers in a gold crown.”
Similar to the gold crown 🤴 adolescents often embedded themselves into the world 🌍 of books 📚 and forget rest of their dimensions to explore . However, adding some feathers of extracurricular activities such as sports 🥎, drawing ✍️ and dancing 💃 can help a student 👩‍🎓 to relax and socialise. Go ahead achieve goals however don’t forget to collect hobbies in journey of life to achieve the milestone of happiness in a positive life.

Oh no! I forgot to write for young children

imageRecently, after reading my article, one of my close friends thought to let her daughter read that write-up. However, these writing pieces were full of medical terminologies and serious topics. Therefore, I decided to write something for kids around nine years old. Oh no! I can’t think of a suitable topic for them!

These creative kids are no longer babies who can laugh from the likes of the beautiful story of the starving caterpillar by Eric Carle. Oops! Sorry for the wrong title! It was not very famished or starving; it was the very hungry caterpillar.

They are also not looking for stories which scare them in their childhood. Remember how the interesting Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson can help kids’ imagination to float on paper? Then I thought – will children be happy with the story of the famous Robin Hood? Oh, no! the children declined my proposal because Robin Hood’s attire is not impressive anymore. Wearing such an outfit these days is hard. So, I decided to look for a story from my library. I think this time I am lucky and grab the famous Harry Potter book by J.K.Rowling. I was sure children couldn’t say no to this book, but I was wrong again; the children had read this book several times before. Oh no! how come kids are so smart? I read it when I was in college. That’s another story I never liked reading so much, and I was often scolded by my parents for not reading books. How could I ever reveal the reason for getting scolded to my children?

Lastly, I tried to look for some real-life inspiring character. However, children seemed not ready to absorb so many facts as they are still kids. These kids are so confusing; sometimes they act so smart, and sometimes they behave just like their baby brothers/sisters.

Therefore, I gave up and started writing again for mums and dads.
